Behind the Book

We showcase our political and media cultures at their worst whenever we have occasion for a battle over the nomination of a Supreme Court Justice. Here, I tried to show that our fights, although nastier and nastier as the years go by, are nothing new, and yet are avoidable. I fear nobody has been listening.
